The International Center for Human Sciences – UNESCO, Byblos organized on Monday August 17, 2020 a roundtable and debate entitled “ The Lebanon of tomorrow viewed by the Lebanese youth ” with the presence and participation of Mr. Gwendal Rouillard, Deputy of Lorient, member of the defense and armed forces commission in the Parliament of French Republic. Mr. Rouillard highlighted on the significant role of the Lebanese youth to make an impact and lead a constructive change for a better Lebanon, and affirmed the continuous support of the French Republic to Lebanon and to the Lebanese youth.

The Protection of World Cultural and Natural Heritage | 14.07.2020
Under the patronage and presence of His Excellency the Minister of culture and agriculture, Mr. Abbas Mortada, and in accordance with the academic programs at the Military School, the International Center for Human Sciences – UNESCO, Byblos launched on Tuesday July 14, 2020 its cultural and educational program for the Military Academy officers for the second year in a row in the presence of the Qaimaqam, Mrs. Natalie Merhi, the Mayor of Jbeil, Mr. Wissam Zaarour and the head of the Army Intelligence Office in Jbeil Colonel Charles Nohra.

World Music Day | 21.06.2020
The International Center for Human Sciences (CISH) - UNESCO in Byblos celebrated the world music day on Sunday June 21, 2020. With her magical voice, Christine Abou Zeid performed at the CISH premises, a monumental building on the Phoenician wall in the old city, accompanying the people walking and passing by the Byblos street.

Seminar on “Online Learning during Covid Pandemic: Implications and solutions” | 11.06.2020

World Arabic Language Day | 17.10.2019
On the occasion of the World Arabic Language Day, the President of the Lebanese American University (LAU) Dr. Joseph Jabra and the Director of the International Center for Human Sciences - UNESCO, Dr. Darina Saliba Abi Chedid jointly organized a conference held at the CISH premises on October 17, 2019 entitled "The Arabic Language: Roots, Forms and Globalization". Several diplomatic, public and academic figures attended the event: Ambassador of South Korea, Qa’imaqam of Byblos Mrs. Natalie Khoury, Secretary General of the World Cultural University Mr. Roger Hani, the President of the Youth Council of the World Cultural University Mr. Sergio Feghali, the President of Byblos Cultural Council Dr. Nawfal Nawfal, the journalist Mr. Marwan Iskandar, Vice President of Student Affairs at LAU Dr. Elise Salem, and the head of the Lebanese Red Cross in Byblos, Mrs. Randa Kallab.

The minister of Culture at the CISH | 21.01.2017
After being appointed Minister of Culture, and in his capacity as Chairman of the Board of the “International Center for Human Sciences”, Dr. Ghattas Khoury visited the center’s headquarters in Byblos, where he was welcomed by the director of the center, Dr. Adonis Akra and his team.

An Iranian cultural delegation at the CISH | 21.01.2017
An Iranian cultural delegation visited the “International Center for the Human sciences” where it was hosted by the director of the center Dr. Adonis Akra. The Iranian group included, among others, the cultural adviser of the Iranian embassy in Beirut, Mehdi Chariha Madar, and the director of the Center for Human and Cultural Studies in Iran, Hussein Ali Kabadi. Discussions focused on the relaunch of cultural agreements between Lebanon and Iran and the exchange of expertise and students between the two countries.
