The International Center for Human Sciences (CISH) – UNESCO in Byblos celebrated the world music day on Sunday June 21, 2020. With her magical voice, Christine Abou Zeid performed at the CISH premises, a monumental building on the Phoenician wall in the old city, accompanying the people walking and passing by the Byblos street.

Dr. Darina Saliba Abi Chedid – Director of the CISH, launched the celebration, with a speech in which she affirmed the longing of the people of Jbeil to their city and its markets after the quarantine due to the Corona virus pandemic. Saluting all those who helped to overcome this pandemic, calling on everyone to participate in this concert from the balconies of nearby houses and neighboring markets. Dr. Saliba Abi Chedid concluded with the following statement: “Byblos, launched the letter, and refuse to speak today unless with music that remains the culture of peoples”.
