Reconsidering the human sciences: theories, methods and production of knowledge | 18.05.2017
On 18, 19 and 20 May, in collaboration with the International Center for Human Sciences (ICHS), Unesco organized an Arab regional conference entitled "Reconsidering the human sciences: theories, methods and production of knowledge" , under the patronage of Minister of Culture Dr. Ghattas Khoury, and in partnership with the” Arab Council of Social Sciences” and the” International Center for Philosophy and Humanistic Studies”. This conference, held at the ICHS headquarter s in Jbeil, brought together some fifty Arab social scientists, professors and representatives of national and regional academic associations from 14 Arab countries: Lebanon, Palestine, Qatar, Jordan, Iraq, Egypt, Tunisia, Oman, Algeria, Morocco, Syria, United Arab Emirates, Sudan and Yemen, working in various fields of human sciences related to Man and society, such as: philosophy, sociology, law, political science, literature, history, human rights, anthropology, the arts and the media.
