The Middle East and North Africa Housing Forum in Cairo

Keeping the evolving milestone, the shining presence of the International Center for Human Sciences brilliantly continued its mission during the International Forums.
After participating at cop 27 in Sharm El-Sheikh, the center joined the Middle East and North Africa Housing Forum in Cairo, Egypt, on November 21-23, where its project was selected along with two others out of 500 submitted projects to the organizing committee that nominated the Director of the center Dr. Darina Saliba Abi Chedid to the “Best Practices” category of the MENA housing forum innovation awards 2022.
The initiative presented by Dr. Abi Chedid contained the complete guide for converting archaeological and heritage buildings into environmentally friendly buildings, and it was provided as a reference for Lebanon and the region, while respecting the traits of each community.

The Director of the Center informed the attendees of the conference about the transformation of the International Center for Human Sciences into an environmentally friendly building respecting all the characteristics of energy, water, plants, irrigation, waste sorting, and reliance on materials subject to natural disintegration without any environmental pollution
