Under the patronage and in the presence of H.E. the Minister of Culture, Judge Mohamad Wissam AL-Mortada, the International Center for Human Sciences (CISH) – UNESCO, Byblos, organized in collaboration with the Department of English and Translation – Faculty of Humanities at Notre Dame University-Louaize (NDU), and in partnership with Hanns Seidel Stiftung (HSS), the International Conference entitled “Language and Translation: Cross-Cultural Contexts” on March 22-23 at NDU campus.
Prominent regional and international speakers took part in the sessions and discussed topics related to Francophonie, a historical language and contemporary culture; Contexts in literary translation; Translation studies; the context of arts in language and communication; Modern contexts in language, translation, and education; Contexts of digital Transformation and artificial intelligence; and contexts in practices of interpreting and translation.
