The International Center for Human Sciences (CISH) – UNESCO, Byblos celebrated the International Day of Women Judges and the International Women’s Day 2023 through its patronage of the regional conference that was initiated by the CISH director – Dr. Darina Saliba Abi Chedid – entitled “Arab Women in the Judiciary: Achievements and Challenges”. This regional conference was organized on March 8, 2023 by CISH-UNESCO in collaboration with Qatar University-College of Law and in partnership with Konrad Adenauer Foundation – the Rule of Law program in the Middle East and North Africa. The conference hosted Qatari and Arab ministerial figures, women judges coming from Qatar, Lebanon, Tunisia, Jordan and other legal specialists and aimed at enhancing the strategy and empowering women in the judiciary.
