On the occasion of the World Arabic Language Day, the President of the Lebanese American University (LAU) Dr. Joseph Jabra and the Director of the International Center for Human Sciences – UNESCO, Dr. Darina Saliba Abi Chedid jointly organized a conference held at the CISH premises on October 17, 2019 entitled “The Arabic Language: Roots, Forms and Globalization”. Several diplomatic, public and academic figures attended the event: Ambassador of South Korea, Qa’imaqam of Byblos Mrs. Natalie Khoury, Secretary General of the World Cultural University Mr. Roger Hani, the President of the Youth Council of the World Cultural University Mr. Sergio Feghali, the President of Byblos Cultural Council Dr. Nawfal Nawfal, the journalist Mr. Marwan Iskandar, Vice President of Student Affairs at LAU Dr. Elise Salem, and the head of the Lebanese Red Cross in Byblos, Mrs. Randa Kallab.
