The International Center for Human Sciences – UNESCO, Byblos organized on Monday August 17, 2020 a roundtable and debate entitled “ The Lebanon of tomorrow viewed by the Lebanese youth ” with the presence and participation of Mr. Gwendal Rouillard, Deputy of Lorient, member of the defense and armed forces commission in the Parliament of French Republic. Mr. Rouillard highlighted on the significant role of the Lebanese youth to make an impact and lead a constructive change for a better Lebanon, and affirmed the continuous support of the French Republic to Lebanon and to the Lebanese youth.

This roundtable was organized on the occasion of the International Youth Day in partnership with Hanns Seidel Stiftung and aimed at empowering the youth coming from different Lebanese regions, confessions and backgrounds positively. The roundtable consisted of five training sessions focusing mainly on the psychology of the Lebanese youth, the lessons to learn from the past, the bridges between the civic education and the social responsibility. To orient their vision towards the Lebanon of tomorrow, towards their basic human rights and democratic practices, to be able to revise the lessons to be learned from the previous Lebanese practices that didn’t lead to any real change and to help them draft the new Lebanese pact called: “Lebanon of tomorrow”. In this framework long debates were led and oriented by our honor guest speaker Mr, Gwendal Rouillard, Ms. Yvis Chaccour, Dr. Michael B. Mikhael and Dr. Louis Honeine.
