Under the patronage and in the presence of their Excellencies the ministers of environment, tourism, culture and Information, the International Center for Human Sciences (CISH) – UNESCO, Byblos is proudly announcing the International Forum of Environmental Humanities, organized in Partnership with Hanns Seidel Stiftung (HSS), the International Council of Philosophy and Human Sciences (CIPSH), the BRIDGES Coalition in UNESCO’s Management of Social Transformations programme and The Club of Rome.
The Byblos Forum will be held on November 10-11, 2022 at the CISH premises in Byblos – Lebanon as a parallel event of the UN Climate Change Conference COP27 in Sharm El Sheikh. The direct outcome of this forum is an official statement that will be delivered in the COP27 on November 17th.

What’s on the Agenda?
We will explore interdisciplinary connections within and across four Pillars of engagement: Environment, biodiversity and cultural heritage; Human and planetary well-being and health, Peace and war in relation to the environment; And environmental history, literature and Arts.
We will be proudly inaugurating as well our center as an environmental-friendly archeological unique Center in Lebanon and the Arab region!
