The Center is placed under the authority of a Board of Directors, which is made up of the Lebanese Minister of Culture, as President, or his representative, the Director-General of UNESCO or his representative and seven eminent personalities from the international community. These latter, two of whom are Lebanese nationals, are appointed, after consultation between the Director-General of UNESCO and the Lebanese Minister of Culture for a period of five years renewable.
